Loft

The Pigeons’ Loft is set in a place with a unique landscape over the Atlantic Ocean, next to the most famous beach in the north of Portugal, the beach of Moledo. From this place we can see Spain, only separated from Portugal by the river Minho.

Where the waters of the river Minho and the Atlantic Ocean gatheredt, we can contemplate the Fort of Ínsua, a fortress built in the middle of the sea, which was originally used as a place of worship. In Christian times, there was a small hermitage under the invocation of Nossa Senhora da Ínsua.

In this National Monument there is a well of drinking water, which is remarkable for being situated in the sea, being one of the only three existent in the world.

It is situated 3 km from the scenic village of Caminha, bathed by the rivers Minho and Coura, and 50 km from Vigo airport and 70 km from Sá Carneiro airport.
